Wild Wadi breaks new ground
in that 14 of its 23 pulsating rides are
inter-connected, allowing thrill seekers of all
ages to experience one adrenaline rush after
another without ever leaving the water.
What's more, the vast
majority of the rides at Wild Wadi are a first for
this region. These include the Jumeirah Sceirah,
the tallest and fastest slide outside the United
States; the aptly titled Tunnel of Doom, which
takes you on a spine-tingling underground journey
of twists and turns; the Summit Surge, which uses
high-powered water jets to propel up to four
people uphill; and the Wipeout FlowRider where the
adventurous can surf a tube wave nearly three
metres high.
As well as being the last
word in family entertainment, Wild Wadi represents
an architectural and engineering masterpiece. It
took 3000 workers and three years to complete this

Wild Wadi contains some
50,000 cubic metres of concrete and 6,500 tonnes
of steel reinforcement
There are more than 40,000
plants, 80 km of rope and 800 cubic metres of
timber in Wild Wadi
There are 150 sets of
pumping equipment, 24 mechanical rooms - all
completely hidden from view - and no less than 7.5
km of buried pipe work at Wild Wadi.
Seen one mall, seen them
all? Wild Wadi's Souq Al Wadi promises a different
experience. To begin with it doesn't look like a
shop at all. Built to resemble a cave and packed
with all kinds of cool stuff, you'll soon know
what Ali Baba felt like when he said 'Open
Sesame'.

adults, swim and play shorts, polo shirts,
baseball caps, backpacks, beach umbrellas, towels,
wallets and mugs.
